DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC) and Scales Elementary School in creating pollinator habitats with native wildflowers that support a variety of pollinator species\, including native bees\, butterflies\, moths\, and many more. This pollinator garden will not only provide a habitat for pollinators but also create an excellent educational opportunity for students\, offering hands-on experiences in ecology\, taxonomy\, and environmental studies\, as well as exposure to our beautiful natural world. \nYou will be engaged in the following activities : \n\nremoving the sod and remaining roots from the garden area\nshoveling and transporting soil with wheelbarrows into the pollinator habitat\nspreading the soil with rakes\nadding native wildflower seeds to the soil
