SUMMARY:2026 Policy & Practice Virtual Forum: Thriving Habitats
DESCRIPTION:Tennessee’s natural landscapes\, from our mountain ridges and lush forests to our vital waterways and native flora\, form the foundation of our state’s health and vitality. Protecting these ecosystems requires both forward-thinking state policy and community-level stewardship. \nJoin Tennessee Environmental Council for the first evening of our 2026 Virtual Policy & Practice Forum as we explore Thriving Habitats. This session features a panel of conservation leaders and policy experts to discuss: \n~Current legislative efforts and policy opportunities affecting Tennessee’s land\, waters\, and native species. \n~Practical\, community-driven strategies for ecosystem restoration\, native plant conservation\, and habitat preservation. \n~How everyday citizens can actively participate in advocacy to safeguard our environment. \nWhether you are a local advocate\, community leader\, or simply passionate about protecting Tennessee’s wild spaces\, this session offers clear insights into how policy and community practice intersect.
