Join the Tennessee Environmental Council and the Murfreesboro Rotary Club in helping improve the health of our local waterways. One of the best things you can do to help improve water quality is by planting trees along the river bank. The Council needs YOUR HELP to plant trees along Lytle Creek!

In addition, The Council celebrates Arbor Day on Veterans Day by giving away trees for people to plant in honor of Veterans. Free oak seedlings will be available to the community and event volunteers while supplies last!

We are thankful for the generous support of the Murfreesboro Rotary Club in helping make this event possible!

When: Saturday, November 11th, 9am – 1pm

Where: Near Ayers Funeral Home, 820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. Please do not park in the funeral home parking lot and instead park in the open field south of the creek. You will see a sign and tent for the Tennessee Environmental Council.

How: No special skills required. Bring a shovel (if possible), boots, gloves, and dress for the weather. The Council will provide tools if you need them. Snacks and water provided.
