Our Mission

Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC) is a statewide nonprofit organization founded in 1970 to help people and communities improve our environment for all through five core initiatives: Compost, Pollinator, Recycling, Tree, and Watershed. TEC engages Tennesseans in volunteer projects and personal practices that work toward a vision of thriving habitats, a circular economy, and climate balance in Tennessee.

Help us achieve thriving habitats, a circular economy and climate balance in Tennessee!

3-part webinar series in november

Our environment shapes everything we do! It sustains our health, our communities, and our future. That’s why we can all shape environmental policy and take meaningful action. Join us virtually on Zoom for a series of three free, engaging evening sessions. Each gathering will feature panels of expert speakers diving into policy and practical solutions on the following dates: We’ve scheduled these sessions after standard working hours to make it as easy as possible for community members, advocates, and leaders from every corner of Tennessee to take part.
